Sign ups for the Cookie A Sock Club 2012 will open on November 9, 2011.
Yarn shipments
Six shipments will be sent throughout the year according to the schedule below, each containing a batch of sock yarn from one of Cookie's favorite dyers. Each shipment will feature a different dyer using a solid or semi-solid colorway to show off the designs. The yarns will be primarily wool (mostly superwash merino) and may contain nylon, cashmere, silk, or other fibers. Each batch will be approximately 100g and at least 370 yards. They will range in thickness from light fingering to heavy fingering with the possibility of one sport weight yarn.
Exclusive sock patterns and recipes
Accompanying each yarn shipment, members will receive two exclusive Cookie A top-down sock patterns: one simpler pattern for when times are tough and one more adventurous pattern. Each pattern is sized. Cookie will also share two cookie recipes per shipment, including tips and baking notes from Cookie's test kitchen. Patterns and recipes will be delivered electronically in PDF format. The patterns will remain exclusive to sock club members for a full year.
Schedule
Parcels for US destinations are scheduled to ship February 11, April 7, June 9, August 4, October 6, and December 1 in 2012. International parcels will ship one week earlier. Patterns will be sent electronically 2 days after the US shipment date. Schedule may change.
